Our World at Peace
Tomorrow, September 21, 2009, is the UN International Day of Peace, or Peace Day.
Soldiers put their weapons down as the quiet of ceasefires permeate war-torn lands. A beautiful thing.
Peace though, is much more than the cessation of war. Thomas Kempis said this, “First keep peace with yourself, then you can also bring peace to others.”
Maya Angelou offered this, “Peace, my brother…Peace my sister…Peace my soul!”
As the guns are silenced and millions of people around the world sing and dance and celebrate the prospect of peace on this single day, I want to share a simple video I created with the remaining 364 days of the year in mind. It’s called Our World at Peace.
