When the Vow Breaks
My great friend and former music partner, Larry Thompson, and I weren’t prolific country songwriters but we did manage to crank out a few country pop songs. I recall sitting with a respected publisher in Nashville in the early 90’s and after listening to a few tunes he said, matter of factly, “there ain’t no B-3 in country music, son.” If you don’t know what a (Hammond) B-3 is, it is the very recognizable organ sound you now hear in just about every country pop song:-) Many a country demo of ours was decorated with Larry’s brilliant B-3 playing.
I’m going to post a series of our country pop demos, starting with the organless When the Vow Breaks, performed by the talented Windsor vocalist, Joan Charette.

You may have not intended to do so, but I think you’ve managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in. The sense of wanting to assist, but not knowing how or where, is something lots of us are going through.
