Cookin’ at Home Tonight

One of my many musical exploits was a stint in Nashville in 1992 working with a Canadian country artist (who had enjoyed Top 10 hits in Canada a decade before) named Jules. It was Jules and his lovely wife, Maggie, who invited me to live with them, a year prior, when I was given only three days notice to vacate my home/studio during my rather nasty divorce. I stayed with this giving couple for half a year and the talented singer and I went to work writing dozens of songs we would eventually take to Nashville to record. Top session players (Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Marty Stuart etc.) joined Jules and I in the House of David studio to record an uptempo honky-tonky type tune called Cookin’ at Home Tonight.

Now, I love to cook but this ain’t the kinda cookin’ you might think:-)
